Update Sneak Peek: Here Be Pirates Revamp
With the next update, “Here Be Pirates” will be revamped and renamed to “Crush The Corsairs!” Some further improvements to look forward to:
1.Only the General or Deputy can spend Guild Wealth to initiate “Crush The Corsairs.” Only one event can be active at a time. Each event will last for 22 hours.
2.During the event, strongholds will appear. Your Guild will have 22 hours to clear them to achieve total victory.
3.Each stronghold can only be attacked by one guild member at a time. If your attack fails, enemy fleets that you’ve destroyed won’t regenerate. Other guild members can continue where you left off, attacking the stronghold until it’s clear of Corsairs.
4.Each guild member can attack twice per event. To be victorious, coordination within your Guild is crucial!
5.Ships destroyed in this event will be restored after each battle, but He3 won’t be.
6.Limit 20 Rounds per stronghold battle.
7.Honor awarded after every battle will be determined by the number of Corsairs defeated and the level of difficulty.

eh hem....

lets lay this out in options of which will more likely occur.....

1) a single person is stuck, not letting the next get in, also their fleets don't come back
2) multiple people get stuck at the same time
3) nobody receives the proper amount of 'honor'
4) the system is glitched where multiple people can attack in some way and either destory or spoil the system.
5) the new system will suck even worse
6) pirates will accidentally be completely removed from the game

This pirate update will be good for big guilds and force players from smaller guilds to struggle for Honor or join a bigger guild....  It would be better as a new event and not taking over from pirates tbh...

Wonder if the strongholds get progressively harder so the stronger members have to wait till no one else can do them or do you select a difficulty lvl before it starts and all strongholds are the same difficulty

Not going to lie, I love the new Corsairs much more than the original "Here Be Pirates" event. The system seems solid and much more fair to players and guilds with varying timezones and availability.

The Corsairs bring an entirely new element to the game: Guild-based PvE (previous Pirates was dumb, acceptable for temporary filler though). Guilds having to work together and coordinate for a challenge which can be planned for, unlike Guild-based PvP - Resource Planets. It's not that the PvP is completely bad or anything, just guild-wide events are definitely lacking overall.

Another good thing is they seem to operate on the same system/concept as missions and sieges... fleets aren't getting stuck (yet? *knocks on wood*). It's great that ships aren't permanently destroyed, and neither is their He3. Nice little touch to leave it permanently costing the He3 for what's actively used for shields, weapons, etc before they go pop, that way there's some amount of risk still without making it unworthy.
